# Category in Download URL

At this time you cannot have the category slug included in the URL of a download with stock Easy Digital Downloads. For example, something like this will NOT work:

```
https://example.com/downloads/downloadcategory/nameofdownload
```

If you need this functionality there's an excellent plugin on CodeCanyon called [EDD Permalink](https://codecanyon.net/item/edd-advanced-permalinks/25717762?ref=mordauk). This plugin can accomplish a URL similar to the one above.
