In addition to digital downloads (i.e. pre-paid vouchers), we also would like to give the option to book our featured services (e.g., travel tours, rentals, spa appointments) for specific dates using a reservation calendar.
Does EDD have anything currently or in the works that would allow us to add such a feature? If not, is there anyway a third-party booking calendar widget/plug-in (there are loads of them) might somehow be able to integrate with EDD, at least so that we can take advantage that EDD will have our payment gateway (Balanced) all set up?
Thanks!October 1, 2013 at 4:19 pm #112700
Not at this time but we are in talks with the folks from Modern Tribe (the makers of The Event Calendar) and hope to have something built at some point soon.October 2, 2013 at 3:51 pm #113628
Good to hear there’s some activity with this.
We tried out the free version of Events Calendar and also corresponded with them, and it does not appear it (or the Pro version) would be a good fit for our business model (we are more focused on selling services than having an event calendar).
If there are other booking calendar systems you may be creating EDD add-ons for, please keep us posted via this thread. Perhaps it also makes sense to ask the EDD community what booking calendars they would most like to see integrated with EDD?
There’s a few we are currently considering (including Rezdy, Bookeo), and we would prefer if our final choice could somehow be integrated with EDD.

Are there any new tendencies in case of a edd booking (Appointment) system?March 6, 2014 at 10:36 pm #198848
There is a developer on our extension list that is considering building one, but it’s still in the very early planning stages.March 10, 2014 at 10:02 pm #201011
Would love to build an airbnb-like website with the marketify theme. Does the developer have an eta or any concrete plans?March 11, 2014 at 12:56 pm #201455
No, sorry, at the moment it’s still in the planning stages, at least as far as I know.March 27, 2014 at 8:20 am #211560

I have a client looking to create a Marketplace for rentals/bookings. Marketify + EDD is the most affordable solution I’ve found, assuming booking is possible. Any word on an ETA for this feature/service?November 20, 2014 at 3:44 am #362371
I’m interested in buying EDD together with Marketify, but I really need a booking solution.
Is there any update on the plugin you were mentioning here?
Or can you recommend any other plugin that works with EDD/Marketify? What about Event Booking Pro?
I am looking for a booking system that can be managed by vendors.
Looking forward to hearing from you

We don’t have one yet but there is one in development that will hopefully be finished sometime in December.November 20, 2014 at 10:14 am #362536
Thanks for your reply.
Can you already tell if the plugin will be compatible with FES, so that vendors can manage their bookings by themselves?
Any further info on the features would be great.
Thanks a lot

It is being developed by a third party so I cannot say at this time. I will know more once they send it over for review. If I had to venture a guess, I would guess that it will not be compatible with FES, sorry. But that’s just a guess.December 28, 2014 at 9:10 pm #393665
