Today we are thrilled to announce that version 1.5 of our earnings and sales tracking app for iOS has been updated to version 1.5. This is a major update that includes several new features and a lot of improvements.
First and foremost, EDD iOS now supports iPads!
Along with adding iPad support, we have added several other new features:
- We have added a Today earnings line to the home screen
- We have added a new Customers that lets you view a list of all customers and even each individual customer’s purchase history:
Also included in this update is improved iOS 8 support and a fix for the bug that previously made it impossible to delete a site.
If you already own the iOS app, the update will be available for free from the app store, including the iPad version. If you don’t own it yet, you can purchase it for $2.99 from the app store.
A huge thanks goes out to Matthew Strickland for his excellent work on this app.

I have version 1.4.201 on my ipad when I go to the App Store (1.5) it just keeps opening up my 1.4 version – any ideas how to apply the update?
Cheers,
Jim
Does it show 1.5 in the App Store?
Yes Pippin, it does…
Is your iPhone running iOS 8?
Ipad running 7.1.2
Ah, that’s why. In order to update to 1.5, you will need to be running iOS 8+.
And what iOS8 functionality do you use in your app that you require users to update?
We adjusted a lot of the screens and screen sizes to conform with iOS standards primarily.
That is not functionality, obviously…
That’s like what all developers needed to do when
$wpdb->prepare()
was changed. That doesn’t break backward compatibility, but we needed to tweak our plugins “to conform with new WordPress standards”.I’ll double check with our iOS developer to see if there was some more specific iOS only items.
We are doing some iOS 7 testing to confirm whether we can allow it on iOS 7. If we can, we will push out v1.5.1.
Ok any update is going out now that adds support for 7.1+. It should take 1-5 days to make it through the review process.
Awesome news, thank you, Pippin!
The update is out!
Ipad updated to IOS 8 and all seems well.
