In Easy Digital Downloads version 1.8 (the next release), we are contemplating introducing a completely new button style, one that is based on the new version of Twitter’s Bootstrap.
Before we do this, however, we want to ask you, the users, what you think. Please look at the screenshots below and let us know if you love ’em, hate ’em, don’t really care, or any other feedback you have!
If you wish to provide additional feedback, besides the poll below, feel free to comment on github.

Surprised by the results so far. Nothing “wrong” with the new style but legibility wise, the old style is much easier to read and I’ll take function over form most times, especially when it comes to a UI element.
my 2 cents.
I’d love to hear what you think is more “functional” about the old version. Just the readability?
FYI, the screenshot above isn’t great. Here’s a much better one: https://f.cloud.github.com/assets/1034109/1054797/50ef3ffa-1117-11e3-9de6-40326d112205.png
Haters gonna hate 🙂
The new buttons are better, imo.
I prefer the old style, but mostly because I was able to pretty much drop it straight in one of my sites and it matched without having to style at all.
But, either way works. If there’s a site that it doesn’t work on it’s easy enough to style to match.
is ok
i now using this style for bottom
I think they are fine Pippin. Flat is the new thing now anyway.
Based on the poll results, we have decided to go with the new button styles. Thank you everyone for your feedback!
Hi, I would like the option to use any .jpg image for a button image. I like larger more minimalistic buttons and if I could use my own images, then I would much rather do that.
Is this possible?
We have a doc on it: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/docs/custom-button-images/
